Rashedul Islam

Born with a deep passion for art, Rashedul Islam began drawing in childhood, though at the time unaware that formal study in the field was possible. Encouraged later by an elder brother, the journey into art education began.

While proficient in various mediums—including oil paint, pen, pencil, acrylic, and mixed media—watercolour has remained a favourite. Currently, the artist predominantly works with watercolour alongside mixed media, finding endless inspiration in the beauty of nature. Birds, fish, leaves, and flowers frequently serve as muses, reflecting a personal connection to the natural world. Through these elements, Rashedul seeks to blend with nature, creating pieces that evoke harmony between the self and the environment.

This exploration of nature often leads to a fluid artistic style, shifting between abstract and semi-abstract representations. In these works, natural forms are thoughtfully deconstructed and reimagined, inviting viewers to interpret familiar landscapes in a new, poetic light. Whether delicate or bold, each piece reflects an intimate dialogue between the artist and nature, a testament to the belief that art is a bridge to the soul of the natural world.
